This video was produced, by request, to support Unity ministers and ministries in creating a sacred space during Sunday services to honor our fallen soldiers. It includes an excerpt of the National Anthem (“The Star Spangled Banner”), “Taps,” patriotic visuals and this quote by Charles Fillmore: “It is the mind that makes the person, and the mind endures even though the body be dissolved.” (from Jesus Christ Heals)

We invite you to join us in honoring the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country. We give thanks for the knowing that the mind endures and that we are all one in consciousness.

  • The Memorial Day video from UWM is nice, and the words from Charles Fillmore are a powerful expression of his great belief in Idealism and in Regeneration. Many times, writers of his day would make reference to a well-known quotation without citing the source. Most folks knew the Bible and Shakespeare then, and Emerson’s quotes were so popular that H. Emilie Cady, for one, did not mention Emerson although his words inspired the line: “Man is an inlet and can become an outlet of all there is in God.” Emma adding a specificThis is a nice video and the words of Charles Fillmore are a powerful

Listeners of CF’s day knew this. How neat it would be for scholars to offer an “annotated Fillmore.” Rich ideas! If you “google” “The mind makes the body” – the quote that inspired CF’s line quoted in the video from JCH, you will find one name only: Sojourner Truth, Black American Woman suffragist.
